Hunger

So, it turned out that SGT Villarreal's NCOER was not quite as perfect as I would have liked. The 1SG is asking for another revision. The Panthers lost to the Devils, 3-1 yesterday, and looked terrible. Today the Heat beat the Celtics, powered by Hassan Whiteside and Tyler Johnson (who?).

I watched the Super Bowl. It wasn't terrible, but it ended with a big fight. It was the first football game I watched this season and probably the last I'll ever see. I'm not sorry.

Stephanie and I tried to follow this "juicing" diet, but I only lasted part of one day. So weak, I know. I was just too hungry. Still, I haven't smoked in about 2 1/2 days.

I'm not sticking to the playlist tomorrow - instead I'm going to shuffle Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, Ryan Adams and his various incarnations (The Cardinals, Whiskeytown, The Shit), and Wilco. I found a version of More Like the Moon! I haven't heard that song in years, and haven't been able to find it online. Bonus!

Bulls on Parade

Well, I wrote SGT Villarreal's NCOER, and 1SG accepted it on the third version. I guess that means I'm getting better. It's taken me a lot more versions in the past to get this right. The TSIRT's are right on track, I've had ISOPREP explained to me a little better, and the GTC's are coming along nicely. Stephanie had a client tonight, so I had to come home in good time. She's looking really good, by the way.

There were no games today, and I didn't get to write all the articles I would have liked. The only one I got done was the Five Stars for the Heat loss to the Bucks last night. It was Mario Chalmers, followed by Jerryd Bayless, Chris Bosh, Hassan Whiteside, and Brandon Knight.

Stephanie made Sausage and Mac/Cheese, which everybody ate except for Chloe. Caramia got ice cream because she finished, which made Chloe mad. She's so cute.

I actually got through all that music that I thought I would, plus Godsmack, Golden Smog, Gram Parsons and part of Green Day. Awesome songs that I heard today:
The Oracle - Godsmack
The Beaches of Cheyenne - Garth Brooks
Better Off - Foo Fighters
(What a) Wonderful World - Flaming Lips
Time / Breathe (Reprise) - Flaming Lips
Pompeii Am Gotterdammerung - Flaming Lips
Cum on Everybody - Eminem
To Call My Own - Golden Smog
Never Going Back Again - Fleetwood Mac
Fight Test - Flaming Lips
The Spiderbite Song - Flaming Lips
Rocket Man - Elton John
Jesus of Suburbia - Green Day

The artists I'll hear tomorrow include:
Green Day (5)
Guns and Roses (1)
Hanoi Rocks (3)
Helloween (5)
In Flames (6)
Incubus (1)
Iron Maiden (4)
Jack White (2)
Jane's Addiction (1)
Jayhawks (3)
Jet (1)
Jimmy Page & The Black Crowes (3)
Jo Jo Gunne (1)
Joan Jett and the Blackhearts (1)
Joe Satriani (3)
Joe Walsh (5)
Johnny Cash (1)
Judas Priest (8)
Kid Rock (1)
Killswitch Engage (3)
King Diamond (4)

Chinese food

So, I ordered Chinese food, as it's my turn tonight. I got the Chicken Chow Mein, because apparently, I forgot how badly it sucked. The Panthers are losing 5-4 with a minute to go, but they're on the power play and have pulled the goalie (Montoya).

We're preparing for another deployment, we're set to leave in mid-March. Today was spent with me trying to guide these Soldiers into completing their TSIRT classes, marshaling seven of them through driver's training, and finishing up the outgoing Commander's inventories. Stephanie is sorry that I'm leaving soon - but it's only Germany, after all. I'll be back before we know it.

Songs I heard that were awesome today:
Sad Songs - Elton John
Bottle Up and Explode - Elliott Smith
Happiness - Elliott Smith
The Bouncer - ELO
Rotten World Blues - Eels
Apple Trees - Eels
Your Spirits Alive - Dropkick Murphys
Pink Cellphone - Deftones
Too Late for Love - Def Leppard
Lost - The Cure

....and the Panthers lost. Again. Five in a row. Poop. And the Heat lost to the Milwaukee Bucks, 109-102. I'm going to publish a Five Stars over on Hot Hot Hoops, but that means I'll have to remember to do it at 0430 when I get up. I'd also like to do an advanced stats recap for the Panthers game over on Litter Box Cats, but I may not get to that right away.

Looks like tomorrow I'm listening to (in order) Elton John, Eminem, Europe, Evanescence, Eve 6, Faith No More, Filter, The Flaming Lips, Fleetwood Mac, Foo Fighters, Foster the People, Fugazi, Galaxie 500, Garth Brooks, Gary Puckett & the Union Gap, and Godflesh. Not everything by each of those artists, just the random smattering of songs I have by each in the current (unrated) playlist.

And to top off a turrible day...

The Panthers lost 3-0, AGAIN. This time to the Buffalo Sabres. The Cats are 3-3 on the season thus far.

Fishy...

I ran 5.28 miles this morning and published an article on the Philadelphia 76ers fifty best players of all time. My iPod broke, and the backup iPod just fritzed out too. I'm renting my daughters at $.50 a day. What a racket...

Taxicab Santa Claus

I took a little trip to Navarre Beach today for Conner's ninth birthday party. Great songs I heard were: "Valor" and "Whiskey War," both by Alabama Thunderpussy, "Dead Roses" by Joan Osborne, "Like You Better Dead" by In Flames, "One Headlight" by Wallflowers, "Air of December" by Edie Brickell, and "Liquored Up and Lacquered Down" by Southern Culture on the Skids. The ride was uneventful except for the music. I got there about 1230 and hung out with the kids for quite a while. I knew I would be early, but I didn't realize that Ed was working. The party didn't really get started until about 4:30. Robin made really good spaghetti and salad, and a cake (almost) from scratch. Conner got everything on his list, with the exception of soccer cleats, which I gave him cash to buy later. I also downloaded, tagged and synched about 400 assorted mp3's on Robin's home PC, because she had lost her collection. The ride home took forever, and I smoked about a thousand cigarettes, even though I'm trying to get to quitsville with them. Oh well. The Marlins lost their third straight game tonight, 2-1 to the Cards. God I hate the St. Louis Cardinals. I ran 17 miles this past week, and hope to build on it next week.

Thursday, November 11, 2010

Well, been several months since I posted. Gary actually made the A/B honor roll for the first Quarter of this school year. Me and Steph are very proud of him. It's not easy for a kid with Autism to do this well. I know he works twice as hard as the other kids just to make passing grades. To see him make the honor roll is truly rewarding. I should thank Stephanie, she works for HOURS every night helping all three kids with the homework. By the time I get off work, it's usually all done.

I went to my marathon in Apalachicola, but due to a terrible infection was only able to complete half a marathon. I finished in 2:01, and I'll tell you, considering the infection I was suffering from, it was the best finish I could have hoped for.

The new baby, Chloe Rene Kraczkowski, will be here on November 29th. It feels like Stephanie has been pregnant for 3 or 4 years now, but I know she's only at 35 weeks.

I just finished my first college course for American Sentinel University, Principles of Macroeconomics, with an "A". I've started "Principles of Business Communciations", and hope to work hard enough to get another "A".
